The Fog.

Woke up this morning to a blanket of fog. Thought I would snap a few pictures before drinking my morning coffee. What impressed me most were the dew drops hanging in every spiderweb.

I'm no Martha Stewart.

I enjoy baking; probably because of my intense sweet-tooth. Pies, cakes, cupcakes, cobblers, cookies... Below you can see my birthday cake (left) which is a strawberry and chocolate cream layer cake and red velvet cupcakes (right).

Chocolate and cupcakes.

Introducing, Charlie.

Charlie.

Stubborn. Lazy. Judgmental. Charlie pays no attention to what I say, regardless of the reward that awaits him. The only thing that may convince him to come to you is a belly-rub in return. I can't find a treat that he would eat. Picky.

Our little Papihuahua was found in the desert and after spending a couple months looking for his owner, we made him our own. Hesitant to give the new dog a name, we settled with calling him 'Fellah' for the first couple months, but later found him a proper name: Charlie. There are many reasons for this. First, 'Charlie the Unicorn' had caught my attention around the time we found him. Second, 'Charlie Bit My Finger', was also amazing and way cute. Third, I recently discovered an old classic movie, 'All Dogs Go to Heaven' where the lead character is played by the mutt, Charlie. I don't know... I was just taken by the name Charlie at the time! I had also thought that Charlie resembled Falkor from 'The Neverending Story' but that name wasn't so attractive sounding.

Shine on.

Bathroom Confessions.

Haven't we all admired bathroom artwork by anonymous artists? Crush confession, vulgar language, or doodles; we've seen it all. Here are a couple snapshots of my favorite writings on the stall. Enjoy!

Keep on dreaming.

I've Been For A Walk.

Autumn is here.

I pulled on an extra sweater, a winter hat, and a scarf before heading out on my evening jaunt with the Charlie, my little Papahuahua (A Papillon, Chihuahua hybrid that we rescued a couple years ago.) I'll be sure to dedicate a post to introducing him at a later time. For now, enjoy a couple of shots that I snapped from our walk.

Warm wishes,

Corissa Jade
